Security FAQ

Will I lose my files?

Usually not. Most infections clean up with files intact. If a reinstall is the safer route, we back up your files first and scan them before restoring.

Can you get my money back from a scammer?

No — that's between you and your bank. We secure the computer and give you a written summary you can share with your bank and law enforcement.

What about ransomware?

Disconnect affected machines immediately and call us. We'll contain the spread and restore from backups where they exist. Business incidents may also involve your insurer and legal notification duties.
