Privacy Policy

A B Comp Services Inc. ("A B Comp Services," "we," "us") provides computer repair and IT services from 4751 NW 15th St, Coconut Creek, FL 33063. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we treat the data stored on devices and systems you entrust to us.

1. Information we collect

• Contact and ticket details: name, phone, email, address for on-site visits, device description, and the problem you report.
• Service records: diagnostic results, work performed, parts used, invoices, and warranty history.
• Payment information: processed by our card processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Business client information: user lists, device inventories, network documentation, and administrator credentials needed to provide managed services.
• Website data: information you submit through the contact form and basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security. We do not use advertising trackers.

2. Data on your devices

Devices you bring us may contain personal files, emails, photos, and account access. We treat that data as confidential:

• We access only what is needed to diagnose, repair, and verify the job.
• We do not copy, browse, or keep your personal files except when you ask us to (for example, for a backup or data recovery) or when a backup is necessary to complete approved work.
• Temporary copies made for recovery or migration are securely deleted after you confirm you have received your data.
• Passwords you give us are used only for the job and recorded on the ticket only as long as needed. We recommend changing them after pickup.
• Devices in our care are kept in our secured shop.

If we encounter material that appears to involve the exploitation of a child, we are required to report it to law enforcement.

3. How we use information

• To perform and document repairs and IT services.
• To send estimates, status updates, invoices, and warranty information.
• To respond to inquiries, complaints, and disputes.
• To provide ongoing monitoring and support to business clients under their service agreement.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us operate — payment processing, parts suppliers (shipping address only), remote-support and monitoring tools, and email hosting — under confidentiality obligations.
• Data recovery laboratories, only with your approval, when a drive requires cleanroom work.
• Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or court order.

5. Retention

Service and invoice records are kept for up to five years for warranty and tax purposes. Devices left uncollected are handled as described in our Terms of Service. Business client documentation is returned or deleted at the end of the service agreement.

6. Security

We use access-controlled systems, encrypted storage for client documentation, and multi-factor authentication on our own accounts. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures and will notify affected individuals of a breach as required by Florida law (Fla. Stat. § 501.171).

7. Your choices

• Request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
• Ask us to delete your records, subject to legal and warranty retention needs.
• Opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

8. Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. Devices belonging to minors must be checked in by a parent or guardian.
